Billiard cue stick tips are the most important part of a cue. Most people are afraid to replace a billiard cue tip, but no matter your skill level, if the billiard cue tip is worn out your shots will suffer for it. Most billiard cue tips mushroom after constant use, and especially if you use your billiard cue to break, or hit very hard or just have a soft cue tip previously installed can all be factors that contribute to the need to replace your tip.

Types Of Billiard Cue Tips

Tips are made of many different materials with a number of hardness factors. I myself use a medium hard billiard cue tip made from elk hide, this tip can be used for almost all shots with very little mushrooming. Other types of tip are made from water buffalo hide, pig leather, or oak leather.

Replacing Billiard Cue Tips

Billiard Cue Tips

To replace a tip you first have to remove the worn billiard cue tip. The best way is with a razor knife, and please make sure that you remove all of the old billiard cue tip. Next you would need a billiard cue top sander to smooth and clean the tip of the cue. You cue tip should have the base sanded to roughen up the two mating surfaces. I found out that crazy glue gel works the best to secure the tip, remember that when the billiard cue tip is installed, to mate the surfaces and hold in place for about five minutes. Then all that is left is to use a cue tip trimmer and shaping tool. Either a nickel or dime circumference shape is desired for best billiard cue performance.

Of course you could always take your billiard cue to a billiard room or supply shop to have it done for you. The price varies depending on the type of cue tip you want to put on the cue.

Billiard pool tables can be a costly addition to any game room.  Like any piece of furniture it needs to be taken care of. To keep the billiard pool table in top condition you should cover it when not in use. Covers are not expensive but are a necessity in keeping the playing surface clean and also protects the table from accidents. Brushing the Billiard Pool Table after every usage will also help keep the table free of dirt particles that can and does redirect the balls in play.

Resons to use Electric Dartboards

The game of darts originated in Europe. It started out as a way to hone your skill with throwing weapons at a target. Eventually a slice of an oak tree was used to protect the tips of the darts from getting dull. As the years went on new designs were developed as the game became more popular new ideas of how to make the game less dangerous and be able to take this game to a new level. Soft tip darts were invented and also the electric bristle dartboard became the standard for the home. This helped to protect the walls in your home from getting damaged by steel tip darts. As the game becomes more popular newer and better ideas are becoming more apparent.
